We believe in our art space—a venue that does more than just exhibit work; it brings people together, remaining locally rooted while maintaining an international outlook.

Spazio Walz is managed by Romaine Kuonen-Walz and serves as a welcoming space for
innovative ideas and diverse forms of artistic expression.

The visual arts and theater have profoundly influenced and inspired Romaine Kuonen-Walz
over the past decades. They provide her with a medium for self-expression, allowing her to
explore mysticism, body language, and imagination through various art forms, including
performance art, objects, and painting.

As a producer, she has brought a wide range of art and performance productions to the
stage, both in Switzerland and abroad. Together with Hadi MohammadKhani—an Iran-based
artist and her partner in art and performance projects—she received the International Prize for
Innovation and Experimental Art from the International Theatre Institute (ITI) in Tbilisi and co-founded TheBodyMagicGroup Switzerland with him.

Alongside her artistic endeavors, she has held leadership roles in international humanitarian
non-profits and served for many years on the cultural commission in Brig. Her work has taken
her to exhibitions and artist residencies in cities such as Beijing, Paris, Rome, Florence,
Milan, Chongqing, Chengdu, and Pristina, as well as numerous other locations across Europe
and Switzerland.

Spazio Walz is an experimental art space open to collaboration; it also honors the legacy of
her father, Gino Walz—an artist and designer who passed away far too soon.
